The Last War is over. After nearly a century of battle, the Five Nations are joined by many upstart nations, separatist states, and monstrous kingdoms. Many have grown wealthy off of the profits of war. Many more have counted themselves lucky to have simply survived.

In the metropolis of Sharn, the rich wield words like daggers and employ spells like servants. Magic bears the towering city to new heights and the teeming masses scrounge for what small corner of the world they can call their own. In the midst of this, a government agent has assembled a secret team of criminals. Their goal: to work in the dark in service to the light. When something needs to be stolen, smashed, are spirited away in service of the greater good: the King’s Shadows are on call.

The Shadows aren’t heroes; they’re damaged goods. But with dark forces closing in on Sharn – and the rest of Eberron – a team that’s at home in the dark might be just what we need.

Colette ir’Trevalyan, government operative, assembles a motley team of scoundrels to procure an elusive artifact from a rogue agents. But various factions want their hands on this strange relic – whatever it is. Even worse, these scoundrels seem to have their fair share of baggage.
